The 2004 Olympics have kicked off in Athens and it's a beautiful thing!  Competition and teamwork.  Thrill of victory and agony of defeat.  Women in tight spandex and speedos!  Such a shame it comes around only once every four years.  Anyway, this is supposed to be a fun thread with a very straight-forward topic: Which female athletes would you like to see in the wrestling ring?  Do you have any stories in mind?


I've been watching quite a bit of swimming, so I would love to see a match between Jenny Thompson and Inge De Bruijn.  (http://www.netrover.com/~duracell/inge.html)  Inge De Bruijn is a Dutch swimming sensation who thrived in the 2000 Olympics despite doping allegations.  She's back in Athens to solidify her place in history.  Inge has beaten Thompson in swimming events before.  I guess that could lead to a feud where Jenny accuses Inge of doping and a match is signed.



I'm sure Jenny's smile is just masking her inner disappointment!

I would write up a match between Jenny Finch the tall blonde softball pitcher vs Bad Marion Jones. Now I don't know if Marion made the olympics because of the steroid controversy but I like Marion Jones.

Two fine athletes, Hawke ... and beautiful too.  But unless she brings a concealed softball to the fight, Jenny Finch is going to have an uphill battle against Marion Jones.  Maybe a 3 to 1 underdog.


Track and field women have those cut bodies and killer legs.  I'd love to see Marion go at it with the long-nailed Gail Devers ...

  Hello,


       Het everyone it is good to be back. I saw this post and i could think of all kinds of story lines for olympic ladies. Maybe something for Keri Walsh and Misty May or a group of swimmers you know four from the American team and four from The Austrialian team( Hope i spelled that write) Maybe they go at it to see who rules the pool they can see who would rule the ring.
