Post Info TOPIC: New girls, new feds

New girls, new feds

Currently, I developed the MWF to highlight some girls that I intend to debut in the near future as well as a few one-shot deals.  Since we have a few new writers and I'm sure that they have some ideas for new girls, I wanted to suggest that another 'minor league' (or two) be started to hold the profiles for the women yet to debut.  It will kind of give our readers something to look forward to and pick the time and place when they will debut.

On another topic, I also wanted to get some feedback from the other writers about some of the current girls that just seem to be taking up space.  Just like the WWE has a turnover of talent, the under-used or unwanted women could be put into the 'retired' section to return only if somebody wanted to give them a complete makeover and push them (provided they haven't been maimed or the like).  Your thoughts everybody?

I'm a new guy, still getting my feet wet. I don't know if I have much to add her, but I'll try.

I have noticed, I've been a avid reader way before deciding to write. There are quiet a few girls I haven't seen used at all. Maybe because some writers are tied up in some big projects. What should we do, to get some unnoticed girls, noticed. I understand that was the reason for the Hardcore and Television titles, give lower ranked girls a chance to hold a title. I noticed except for Chyna and Victoria, the WWE girls haven't done much in awhile. Torrie was used on C&B, but what about Trish and Lita, two women that could have huge success if used correctly. That was my two cents, I don't know if I have the authority to say anything or not.

Lita got an outing in 43/Slaughterhouse against Krisztina Sereny. She may not have won but I think that she made a good impression, possibly better than ever before. In the next few episodes she will re-invent herself as Amy Dumas with a slightly different approach - I'm not saying any more about that at the moment.
It is difficult to keep all the girls in circulation but I am trying to give my Assigments list a reasonable turnaround as will become apparent over the next few shows.

I agree with Starr about the benefits of the developmental leagues.  They allow readers to preview upcoming wrestlers and form a connection with them early on.  So when they make their FWF debuts, it doesn't come as a surprise and they've earned some merit by "working their way up the system."

These leagues are also perfect for individuals that don't want to write extended story arcs over three or four shows.  If someone wants to write stand-alone matches at his or her leisure, they can use these low-profile rosters (and I mean that in a good way).  Their stories can appear in the Extras section or, if enough stories are written, the developmental leagues can have their own story archive.

I'm not going to speak much on retiring wrestlers right now.  That topic is big enough to tackle in a brand new thread.  I will say this: If people aren't using their wrestlers, it isn't right to have them sit on the shelf and collect dust.  Without any exposure (good or bad), they might as well be retired.

For right now, I'd like to hear people's takes on the developmental leagues.  Supporters and naysayers alike.  If you really want to talk about retiring wrestlers, then let's get a brand new thread going 'cause it might get a little heated.

I think Developmental Leagues are a good thing. Eeven the mighty WWE has a developmental league called OVW, where the likes of Batista and Victoria trained and honned their skills. Though some people need more time than others. It could also be used for us writers, who want to add a couple of girls that aren't here yet, but like me for example, I can put her in the MWF, til Eddie says I've been here long enough then let her graduate to the "big leagues".
