Of course, good girls have to win sometimes to keep things in balance, kinda like if you flip a coin 100 times, it should theoretically come up heads 50 times.
BUT, it is MORE FUN for bad girls to win, generally. There is so much more leeway and creativity that can be utilized when the bad girls win. By definition, good girls are constrained by the fact that they are indeed fan favorites and generaly will not go out of their way to humble their opponents beyond the 3-count. It more like, "See, I knew I could beat you. What more do I need to prove by humbling you?" Their actions speak for themselves.
But when BAD GIRLS win, there can be beat-downs, run-ins and sexual humilations, to name off a few things.
Think of when Melissa Dettwiller beat Colette Nelson, or when Jean Jitomir (w/Britt Miller) beat Nicole Ball, or when Fawnia Mondey (w/Stacy Keibler turning during the match) beat Bobbi Billard, or when Mindi O'Brien (w/Cindy Phillips) beat Jennifer Chamberlin or when BADGIRLLOVER's Brandy Dahl beat Erin Ellington.
In a lot of these, or other examples, the matches themselves are great but what happens post-match is usually even better.
Of course, these beat-downs, run-ins and humiliations can also fuel the fire by furthering storylines so that it is more rewarding if/when the GOOD GIRLS actually do win.
And, of course, when the BAD GILRS do get the upper hand, it is usually a little bit more fun for the INSIDER to write his material.
"Of course, good girls have to win sometimes".... Indeed they do, but the bad girls are SO much more fun to write!! Also bad girl v bad girl has its own rewards in my opinion, although some writers prefer the tried and trusted formula. Of course letting the good girls take their revenge is all part of the wonderful world of the EFW and can be very rewarding as well.
But I do wonder what our female readership make of the sexual humiliation side of things... (see http://www.activeboard.com/forum.spark?forumID=32848&p=3&topicID=18667353) Any comments girls (or boys come to that)?
I agree with everything that's been said. The good girl vs bad girl matches makes it a lot easier to develop storylines. For me, it just makes it so much easier to develop a continous flow in the match. Throw in a nice gimmick along with a nice bad girl and the match just writes itself.
Bad girls are fun to read and write no question, but these days I am more interested in seeing the good girls win. This isn't out of pity (because they've been getting the short end of the stick lately), but out of a need for parity. And parity will ultimately benefit the bad girls as well.
After all, a bad girl dominating her adversary can be entertaining and hot, but it can also get quite repetitive if the heel doesn't take on tough challenges. In that way, I always feel that a good girl and bad girl's success is tied to the quality of her opposition.
Right now, we have a great many bad girls and several who push the sexual envelope. So, personally, I find a solid good girl entertaining to read in the face of such overwhelming adversity.
Overall I probably like to see the bad girls win for most of the reasons others have stated. It opens up for a lot more post match "fun". Still have to enjoy the good girl fighting the odds and not resorting to the bad girl tactics to try and get a win.
