THE 50th EPISODE

Greetings FWF enthusiasts:

The writers and myself are working hard to bring you Throwdown, Episode 46.  And four shows from that will be a special landmark for the Fitness Wrestling Federation ... our 50th episode!

This has been a long time coming and I'd like to hear from you ... the readers!  What would you like to see?  What can be done to make '50' a memorable episode?  Should there be a different format for that show?

Writers read this board regularly, so don't be shy. You might see your idea get picked up!

Wow! 50 is approaching. What a landmark achievement for Eddie and all the writers. I figured you may post something as it approached but I didn't expect it this soon.

I remember a while back when Chris suggested a stretcher match. But, I guess, because of storylines and other reasons it didn't come to fruition. Well, now I think would be the time to capitalize on that idea. I remember (back before I started writing the Insider reviews) how much I enjoyed the coffin match (episode 37). The same kind of idea could be followed here: 2 rings, Royal Rumble format in terms of time of entrances and, of course, each victim has to be strapped to a stretcher and loaded in an ambulance.

Can you imagine how wild, chaotic and enjoyable that would be? The amount of punishment and the stunts that would have to be performed to incapacitate an opponent to the point of putting them on a stretcher would be staggering. Just the sort of thing a landmark episode needs!

Possibly, this would be the only match on the card, as it would be so lengthy and require a great deal of work and/or one to a few other high profile matches could be added.

Oh, BTW, there would be a question of how many girls to include in such a gala event (if a stretcher match could be considered such.) I was thinking 20... no, maybe 30... nah,... how 'bout 50!!!

I think Geoff is on to something.  But let's take it a step further (after all, it is the 50th episode!).  How about making all the matches on the card "Specialty Matches".  For example, we could have a poll after Slaughterhouse for the fans to pick the top 8 or 10 matches for the show (remember, these wouldn't be squash matches, but slightly longer ones).  Some suggestions are:

  1. Hell In A Cell Match
  2. Cage Match
  3. Chain Match
  4. Indian Strap Match
  5. Texas Bullrope Match
  6. Ladder Match
  7. Tables, Ladders and Chairs Match
  8. Brass Knuckles Match
  9. Coal Miner's Glove Match
  10. Barbed Wire Ring Match
  11. 'I Quit' Match
  12. First Blood Match
  13. Ironwoman's Match
  14. Triathlon Match
  15. Scaffold Match
  16. Weapons Match

After the fans choose the matches, another poll could be held after the PPV to determine the combatants in each match.  Have four choices for each match (with no duplicating) and the fans could decide who faces who.

Ideas anybody?

I agree with Starr on this one. Individual matches would allow each writer to put their distinctive stamp on the show. Having readers vote on who takes part would be another neat touch. My only reservation is my own lack of knowledge about some of the more obscure match types, I wouldn't want to attempt a match without understanding all the ins and outs which would restrict me to the more straight forward types.
