"The flame that burns twice as bright burns half as long." - Lao Tzu
These days, fitness women and bodybuilders benefit from the Internet, an avenue for exposure that wasn't as accessible 15-20 years ago. Nowadays any sculpted beauty with an Internet connection can make a name for herself, unlike the days when popularity was closely tied to the magazine stands. Combine that with the industry's growing popularity and you see far more competitors and models than ever before.
However, not all these women reach the same level of success. Some stick around for several years while others disappear after a couple months or contests, and everything in between. So that brings me to the point of this thread: which girls caught your eye, but came and went far too quickly from the fitness/bodybuilding scene.
Alicia Miller, I love this girl. She doesn't seem to compete but works as a rehab in the southern states.
Marianna Komlos, we all know who she is. She came in the mid 90's or so and shot up to success and went on to become a WWE Diva and died suddenly after her release. I know it's not months but she is incredible and we lost her too soon.
I fell in love with this picture. The famous one.
Honorable mentions: Cindy Phillips stuck around for over 5 or so years and retired,
Melissa Detwiller stopped training all together but had a hell of a run on stage, media such as doing some scissor videos and vids, and ummm here too. But she stuck around for a bit but started losing mass and size. That is why she is on my list.
Cindy Huntress, a figure competitor and loved to wrestle.
I forget that Marianna Komlos was only 35 when she passed away. Her beauty really left a lasting impression, even after all these years.
Not sure I would put Cindy Phillips on this list. Yes, she was around for 5 years or so, but she was tremendously active during that time with photo shoots. Someone with similar appeal to Cindy who I would put on this list is Jen Broomfield. She wasn't on the scene for very long and only had a couple shoots.
